Job Description
Responsibilities
- Monitor security tools and alerts to detect, triage, and respond to potential threats and incidents
- Review and validate security tool configurations to ensure expected alerts are being generated and assets are properly covered
- Document, refine, and maintain security processes and standard operating procedures
- Develop and maintain incident response playbooks for common threat scenarios such as phishing and malware
- Manage and improve security-related workflows, forms, and processes within FreshService
- Collaborate with Security Engineering on tool configuration, automation opportunities, and process improvements
- Support GRC team with security awareness initiatives, policy audits, and compliance activities
- Track and report on key security metrics including EDR coverage, Mean Time to Detect (MTTD), and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR)
- Assist in identifying and implementing controls to reduce risk and maintain compliance with relevant frameworks
- Help evaluate and take ownership of stable, production-grade automations as expertise grows
Required Qualifications
- 02 years of experience in an IT, security, or related technical role
- Familiarity with core security concepts including endpoint security, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management
- Experience working with or ability to quickly learn ITSM tools such as FreshService, ServiceNow, or similar platforms
- Ability to read, interpret, and triage security alerts from common tools (SIEM, EDR, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to document processes and findings accurately
- Collaborative mindset and comfort working across globally distributed teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on exposure to SIEM platforms, EDR tools, or security automation workflows
- Familiarity with GRC concepts and security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or SOC 2
- Experience writing or following incident response runbooks or playbooks
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), Google Cybersecurity Certificate, or equivalent
- Basic scripting or automation skills in Python, PowerShell, or similar
Experience with ticketing and workflow tools, particularly FreshService
