Job Description
Position: Transparency Reporting Business Analyst
Location: Offshore (Pan India)
Job Summary:
The Transparency Reporting Business Analyst supports Global Transparency and Open Payments programmes by performing data-driven functional analysis, data validation, and documentation activities across the transparency reporting lifecycle. The role works with business and technical teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant disclosure of payments to HCPs and HCOs in line with Sunshine Act requirements, with a strong focus on SQL-based analysis, reconciliation, and issue investigation across systems such as TDM and MediSpend.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support Global Transparency reporting work by conducting data validation, reconciliation, and reporting readiness checks across the disclosure lifecycle (collection validation disclosure support).
- Perform hands-on data analysis using SQL to:
- Pull and compare datasets across sources / data marts
- Identify data gaps, duplicates, mapping issues, and anomalies
- Support root-cause analysis for reporting exceptions and mismatches
- Analyse data feeds from multiple upstream systems; validate completeness and accuracy of spend, customer, and product attributes required for disclosure.
- Work closely with TDM (Transparency Data Mart) and MediSpend stakeholders to understand data ingestion, transformation logic, and reporting outputs; support issue triage and resolution with evidence-based analysis.
- Support functional documentation and delivery artefacts, including:
- Requirements and clarifications
- Data mappings and interface notes
- Process flows / data flow diagrams (ASIS / TOBE under Lead guidance)
- Assist Lead BA/SME in functional gap analysis and impact assessment by providing data-backed findings and validation results.
- Participate in workshops with business, IT, and vendors to capture requirements and validate understanding; follow up with data analysis to confirm outcomes.
- Support audit and resubmission activities by maintaining traceability of changes, reconciliation logic, and evidence required for compliance review.
- Support UAT / defect triage by analysing issues, validating fixes with SQL checks, and confirming that outputs align with expected disclosure rules.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- 37 years of experience in Business Analysis / Data Analysis / Reporting roles in pharma, life sciences, or other regulated environments.
- Exposure to US Transparency / Open Payments / Compliance reporting processes and terminology.
- MUST HAVE: Strong SQL skills ability to write queries independently for analysis, validation, reconciliation, and issue investigation.
- Strong data analysis capability:
- Join/aggregate/filter large datasets
- Identify patterns, anomalies, and data quality issues
- Reconcile source vs target datasets and explain variances
- Working knowledge of Excel (advanced) and experience with reporting tools such as Power BI (for analysis/review; dashboard build optional).
- Understanding of:
- Data transformations within data marts
- End-to-end transparency data lifecycle (collection, validation, disclosure)
- Familiarity with key ecosystem systems:
- TDM (Transparency Data Mart)
- MediSpend
- CRM and Customer Master / MDM platforms
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with offshore/onsite stakeholders.
Good to Have
- Experience supporting disclosure cycles involving corrections / audit / resubmission activities.
- Prior experience with large or global pharma clients.
- Exposure to data mapping / interface analysis (feeds, transformations, validations).s
