Job Description
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and execute automated tests for mobile applications using Appium, Cucumber, and Java.
- Maintain and enhance the mobile test automation framework to support ongoing testing needs.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to understand application features and testing requirements.
- Write and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts aligned with BDD practices.
- Analyze test results, identify bugs, and ensure timely resolution through issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Ensure application quality and performance through regression testing, functional testing, and UI validation.
- Contribute to best practices in test automation and quality assurance.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in mobile test automation using Appium.
- Strong knowledge and experience in BDD frameworks, especially Cucumber.
- Proficient in Java programming language for writing automation scripts.
- Experience testing native and hybrid mobile apps on Android and iOS platforms.
- Familiarity with mobile device emulators, simulators, and real device testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with TestNG or JUnit.
- Familiarity with API testing (e.g., using Postman, RestAssured).
- Experience with cloud device farms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
- Knowledge of mobile app build tools (e.g., Gradle, Xcode).
