Job Description

About the Role - We are hiring an Associate Product Researcher to conduct market research on the Indian MSME sector, identifying challenges, inefficiencies, and opportunities for building innovative product solutions. Your research will contribute to shaping AI and software-driven tools for small businesses in India.

You will work closely with business owners, industry stakeholders, and internal product teams to gather insights that inform product development.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct on-ground research, surveys, and interviews to identify key challenges MSMEs face in India.
Engage with business owners, suppliers, and industry experts to explore pain points in finance, operations, payments, growth, and technology adoption.
Utilize primary research (field visits, customer interactions, focus groups) and secondary research (market reports, competitor analysis, government data) to extract meaningful insights.
Work with senior researchers and product managers to define problem statements and explore viable tech-based solutions.
Document research findings in structured reports, insights decks, and presentations for leadership and product teams.
Keep track of emerging trends in MSME technology, digital transformation, and government policies impacting the sector.

Who Should Apply(Ideal Candidate Profile)

2+ years of experience in market research, business analysis, consulting, or product research.
Strong understanding of B2B markets, MSMEs, fintech, or SaaS products is a plus.
Experience in conducting field research, interviews, and surveys with business stakeholders.
Basic awareness of AI, automation, and digital trends in MSMEs.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate qualitative research into structured reports.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Prior experience with Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis tools, or research methodologies is preferred.
