Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Should Costing Engineer with experience in Plastic Commodity Costing and exposure to Rubber / Sheet Metal / Casting & Machining commodities. The candidate will be responsible for preparing cost models, analyzing supplier quotations, identifying cost reduction opportunities, and supporting sourcing and procurement activities.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare should-cost models for plastic components and assemblies.
• Analyze supplier quotations and validate component pricing.
• Perform detailed manufacturing cost breakdown analysis.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, casting, machining, and rubber molding.
• Support procurement and strategic sourcing teams during supplier negotiations.
• Conduct VA/VE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) activities for cost optimization.
• Estimate raw material, tooling, labor, machine, and overhead costs.
• Work closely with suppliers, design, manufacturing, and purchasing teams.
• Interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
• Benchmark component costs and manufacturing feasibility.
• Maintain cost databases and costing reports.
