Design Engineer @ Saraca Solutions

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• SolidWorks 3D Modeling: Create and modify 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings.
• GD&T Application: Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to ensure precision and compliance with industry standards.
• Sheet Metal Design: Develop sheet metal components and assemblies with focus on manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Concept Creation: Generate innovative design concepts and evaluate feasibility through simulations and prototyping.
• Manufacturing Process Knowledge: Collaborate with production teams to align designs with machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Conduct design reviews, identify improvements, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare technical documentation, BOMs, and revision control records.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/ASME standards and organizational quality requirements.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (part modeling, assemblies, sheet metal, weldments).
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and industry standards.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
