Job Description
Experience in planning, designing, implementation, and troubleshooting within data protection environments.
Sr Backup/DR Engineer position, we need a strategic, forward and outside the box thinking individual who can help revamp/enhance our strategy and processes, as well as dive deep into troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and other technical issues)
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup -Windows/Linux
- Global Support Exposure: Excellent communication skills and experience supporting global clients.
- Shift Flexibility: Must be open to rotational shifts to support 24/7 global operations.
- Technical Expertise: Strong skills in backup, recovery, troubleshooting, and solution implementation using Veritas NetBackup.
Role Overview Senior Data Protection Engineer (Veritas NetBackup):
The selected candidate will specialize in Veritas NetBackup, responsible for designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise-grade data protection solutions. This is a critical role focused on ensuring the security, availability, and resilience of business data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Implementation: Develop and deploy robust data protection strategies using Veritas NetBackup.
- System Management: Oversee backup and recovery operations across Windows and Linux environments, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
- Cyber Resilience: Implement features like immutability and anomaly detection to protect against ransomware and cyber threats.
- Collaboration: Work with internal IT teams to integrate solutions with existing infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve complex issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Documentation & Training: Maintain detailed documentation and support knowledge transfer to junior staff.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on expertise with Veritas NetBackup.
- Proven background in backup/recovery strategy and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent communication and global support experience.
- Ability to join immediately or within short notice.
