We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive professional to join the Control Utility team as a Control Advisory Manager.
In this role, you will assist Division / Corporate Function Business Control Officers and Control Owners by designing effective controls that are sustainable, measurable, and compliant with control standards. You will play a key role in designing, engineering, and remediating controls, with a strong focus on automation, efficiency, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor on control-related matters, providing expert guidance on control design and remediation
Review process changes, new initiatives, and projects for control implications and alignment with enterprise standards
Design and engineer controls to strengthen risk mitigation
Recommend and implement sustainable controls aligned with industry best practices
Lead remediation efforts for control deficiencies, ensuring timely resolution with stakeholders
Develop and maintain control documentation, including risk and control matrices
Conduct training and awareness sessions to promote a strong risk culture
Contribute to control testing strategies and support Risk Self-Assessments (CSAs)
Leverage data analytics for continuous monitoring and improvement
Assist in control testing and operations as required
Stay updated on regulatory expectations, emerging risks, and industry trends
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business, or a related field
Relevant professional certifications are preferred
815 years of experience in risk management, internal controls, audit, or control advisory roles
Proven expertise in control design, remediation, and automation
Strong understanding of control frameworks such as COSO, SOX, and COBIT
Experience in process mapping, risk assessment, and technology-enabled controls
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in operational risk or control advisory within a global organization
Familiarity with data analytics tools and control automation technologies
Ability to design and implement preventive, detective, and monitoring control frameworks
