Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Azure platform services, landing zone implementations, and automated infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, ARM, and Bicep. This role requires deep knowledge of Azure DevOps and modern cloud deployment practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure Azure environments using Azure Landing Zone frameworks.
- Lead new tenant setup and subscription design aligned with governance and best practices.
- Develop and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, and Bicep.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated deployments.
- Implement reusable modules and templates using Terraform (with Terragrunt) and ARM/Bicep.
- Manage and optimize Azure networking components (VNets, Subnets, NSGs, VPNs, Private Endpoints, etc.).
- Ensure security, compliance, and cost optimization across Azure environments.
- Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to streamline cloud adoption.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues across environments.
- Maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and deployments.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure platform services.
- Expertise in Terraform with CI/CD pipelines (preferably using Terragrunt and Azure DevOps).
- Strong experience in ARM Templates with CI/CD pipelines (preferably using Bicep and Azure DevOps).
- Proven experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for build and release pipelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in Azure Landing Zone implementation and new tenant setup.
- Proficiency in:
- Terraform
- ARM Templates
- Bicep
- Shell Scripting (Bash/PowerShell)
- Strong understanding of Azure Networking:
- Virtual Networks (VNet)
- Subnets, NSGs
- Load Balancers, Application Gateway
- VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute
- Private Link / Private Endpoints
- Knowledge of RBAC, Azure Policies, and Governance frameworks.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Terragrunt for Terraform orchestration.
- Knowledge of Azure Security best practices.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes/AKS).
- Exposure to multi-environment deployment strategies.
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305) are a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
