Job Title: Network Operations Engineer L2 & L3
Location: Navi Mumbai (Turbhe)
Open Positions: 2
Experience: 48 Years (Relevant L2 Experience Mandatory)
Industry Preference: BFSI Preferred
Role Overview:
The Network Operations Engineer L2 will be responsible for managing and supporting core and branch network infrastructure. The role involves handling BAU operations, resolving escalations, ensuring compliance, and supporting network-related projects across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L2 support for Core Network and Branch Network Operations.
- Monitor and manage network performance, availability, and uptime.
- Handle incident management, problem management, and escalations from L1 teams.
- Troubleshoot issues related to LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPN, routing, and switching.
- Ensure smooth functioning of branch connectivity and data center network operations.
- Support BAU activities, including configuration changes, patching, and upgrades.
- Participate in network implementation and migration projects.
- Ensure adherence to compliance, security policies, and audit requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation, network diagrams, and SOPs.
- Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and internal stakeholders for issue resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
Key Skills & Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of Networking Concepts (TCP/IP, OSI Model)
- Hands-on experience with Routing & Switching (Cisco/Juniper preferred)
- Experience in MPLS, VPN (IPSec/SSL), Firewall, and Load Balancer
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.)
- Understanding of network security and compliance standards
- Experience in branch network setup and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering / IT / Networking or related field
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent preferred
Key Deliverables:
- High network uptime and performance availability
- Timely resolution of L2 incidents and escalations
- Compliance with audit and security requirements
- Successful delivery of network-related projects and enhancements
