CAD Engineer Automotive Cockpit Electronics
Experience: 4 to 9 Years
Location: Bangalore
Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days
Job Description
We are looking for skilled CAD Engineers to join our automotive design team, focused on the mechanical design and development of cockpit electronics products. The role involves endtoend CAD activities, close collaboration with crossfunctional teams, and ensuring designs meet manufacturing and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical design and development of automotive cockpit electronics products
- Create and update 3D CAD models for parts, subassemblies, and assemblies
- Prepare 2D drawings as per automotive standards
- Ensure designs meet DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) requirements
- Perform tolerance analysis and tolerance stackup
- Apply GD&T on drawings as per standards
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 4 to 9 years of relevant experience in automotive mechanical design
- Experience in electromechanical product design
- Handson experience with CATIA V5 (mandatory)
Required Technical Skills
- CATIA V5
- 3D Part & Assembly Design
- GSD (Generative Surface Design Class A surfacing)
- 2D Drawing Creation
- Strong knowledge of Plastic, Sheet Metal, and DieCasting component design
- Experience in Tolerance Stackup & GD&T
- Good understanding of DFM / DFA principles
- Exposure to automotive cockpit or interior components is preferred
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Ability to work collaboratively in a crossfunctional environment
