Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Lead customer discovery workshops and define business/functional requirements for instant, batch, and cross-border payment solutions.
- Analyze and map end-to-end payment flows across schemes like SWIFT, FedNow, UPI, SEPA Instant, PIX, AANI, or similar.
- Provide domain thought leadership on ISO 20022 migration, payment hub transformations, and modernization journeys.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and work closely with QA and engineering teams to ensure solution alignment.
- Support solution architects and delivery leads during proposal and RFP response phases with domain content and solution insights.
- Contribute to the preparation of test strategies, validation frameworks, and data models aligned to payment scheme mandates.
- Evaluate business processes, identify automation and optimization opportunities, and recommend fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, scheme operators, and internal technology teams to ensure business alignment.
- Conduct impact assessments on regulatory and ISO updates (e.g., SWIFT CBPR+, FedNow ISO, or UPI 2.0 enhancements).
- Mentor and guide junior analysts and contribute to internal knowledge management initiatives.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Business Analyst (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Payments Certification (SWIFT, NACHA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of payments domain experience, with at least 5 years in a business analysis or product consulting capacity.
