Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support LAN, WAN, Wireless and associated technologies
• Drive configuration policies and compliance ensuring standards are met
• Troubleshoot network problems and install and maintain specialized network tools and software.
• Collaborates with colleagues regarding the prevention and mitigation of hardware and software malfunctions, arranges for their correction, and prepares documentation of the error, root cause analysis and resolution. Also researches data processing related problems and prepares materials for their resolution.
• Monitors performance of systems after implementation. Trains team members on systems use and provides technical assistance as needed.
• Performs all disciplines of maintaining an efficient Information Technology environment.

Preferred candidate profile

• 6+ years in implementing, administering and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices including; Servers, Workstations, Firewalls, Routers, Switches and Wireless access points
• Possess advanced knowledge in IP-based network and telecommunication system design, administration, and support, preferably Cisco.
• Must have an aptitude for troubleshooting, analyzing, and diagnosing problems.
• Deep knowledge of networking products to include data switches, telephone switching equipment, routers, firewalls and the use of TCP/IP protocols and troubleshooting techniques
• Knowledge of server and desktop virtualization technologies
• Knowledge of Windows Active Directory, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy and other fundamental Windows and Network technologies.
