Home Automation Engineer @ Talent Corner

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Pre-Installation Consultation

- Explain automation system requirements to clients, architects, electricians, and contractors

- Guide teams on necessary wiring provisions, internet setup, and infrastructure readiness

- Ensure all pre-requisites are fulfilled before installation begins

2. System Installation & Setup

- Install and configure wireless home automation devices (switches, sensors, controllers, etc.)

- Ensure proper device placement and connectivity

- Coordinate with on-site teams for smooth execution

3. Integration & Programming

- Integrate multiple devices into a unified automation system

- Program and customize scenarios, scenes, and automation workflows based on client needs

- Configure app controls, voice assistants, and remote access

4. Testing & Quality Assurance

- Perform complete system testing post-installation

- Ensure all automation features function seamlessly

- Identify and rectify any issues before handover

5. Troubleshooting & Support

- Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site or remotely

- Provide post-installation support and maintenance assistance

- Ensure high system reliability and client satisfaction

Preferred candidate profile

- Basic understanding of electrical systems, networking (Wi-Fi), and IoT devices

- Hands-on experience in home automation systems (preferred)

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders (clients, contractors, internal teams)

- Good communication skills (explaining technical concepts in simple terms)

- Willingness to travel to project sites

Preferred Qualifications

- Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related field

- Experience in smart home automation or similar technology-based installations
