Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Job Summary: The SAP Operator will be responsible for efficiently utilizing the SAP software to manage various aspects of the construction project. This includes tracking expenses, monitoring procurement of materials, assisting in project scheduling, and generating accurate financial reports. The operator will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure smooth and streamlined project operations.
Responsibilities:
1. SAP Data Entry and Management:
- Enter and update project-related data into the SAP system, including financial transactions, material orders, equipment usage, and labor hours.
- Preparing and releasing PR, SES, ZDCC, GRN, Checklist after SES approval.
- Documentation and sending same to HO for further payment process.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data to support project tracking and reporting.
- Understanding of SAP T codes and their use for daily works related to execution, tracking and monitoring.
2. Expense Tracking and Budget Management:
- Monitor project expenses and compare them against the allocated budget.
- Generate expense reports from SAP to provide insights into spending patterns and budget deviations.
- Tracking of PO and payment status in ZDCC-TRK.
3. Material Procurement:
- Collaborate with procurement teams to initiate material orders through SAP.
- Keep track of material deliveries, ensuring timely availability of resources for the construction project.
4. Project Scheduling:
- Assist project managers in creating and updating project schedules within the SAP system.
- Coordinate with various teams to ensure tasks are scheduled in alignment with project timelines.
5. Financial Reporting:
- Generate financial reports and summaries using SAP data for review by project stakeholders.
- Provide insights into project financial performance, identifying potential areas of concern.
6. Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of project-related transactions, communications, and documents within SAP.
- Ensure documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
7. Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and information flow.
- Address SAP-related inquiries and provide support to colleagues as needed.
8. Problem Solving:
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies, system errors, or issues related to SAP usage.
- Implement corrective actions and communicate solutions to relevant parties.
Preferred candidate profile
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience as an SAP operator or in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
- Proficiency in using SAP software for data entry, tracking, and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Familiarity with construction project management processes and terminology.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of financial principles and budget management.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
