Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist with strong expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning, Python, and SQL. The ideal candidate will work on designing and deploying intelligent data-driven solutions, extracting insights from large datasets (especially text data), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models with a strong focus on NLP use cases such as text classification, sentiment analysis, information extraction, and topic modeling.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) on structured and unstructured data sources.
- Build and optimize endtoend ML pipelines including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, validation, and deployment.
- Develop scalable solutions using Python and SQL to analyze large datasets.
- Evaluate model performance, fine-tune models, and ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
- Document model design, assumptions, and results; present insights to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to data science best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 68 years of hands-on experience in Data Science / Machine Learning roles.
- Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikitlearn).
- Hands-on experience with NLP techniques and libraries (NLTK, SpaCy, Gensim, Hugging Face preferred).
- Solid knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, ensemble methods).
- Strong experience in writing optimized SQL queries and working with relational databases.
- Good understanding of statistics, probability, and model evaluation techniques.
- Experience working with large datasets and realworld business problems.
Good to Have / Preferred Skills
- Experience with Deep Learning for NLP (TensorFlow / PyTorch).
- Exposure to Transformer models, LLMs, or text embeddings.
- Experience deploying models via APIs or cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
