Job Description
We are seeking a senior Data Architect to lead the design and execution of an AI and ML -driven, real-time data platform for Telco and Media businesses.
The ideal candidate will work closely with business leaders, domain specialists, and data science teams to build a Telco & Media Data Competency Center, develop monetizable IPs, accelerators, and reference architectures, and take solutions from POC to enterprise-scale production across cloud environments.
This is a business-critical platform role, not a reporting or BI function.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Telco, OTT, AdTech, and Network domain specialists to define and execute the enterprise Telco & Media Data & AI Platform strategy.
- Design and own real-time and batch data architectures that ingest customer behavior, network telemetry, OTT viewing data, advertising signals, and revenue events into a single governed data backbone.
- Build AI-ready data pipelines that directly power churn prediction, personalization, content recommendations, ad targeting, fraud detection, and network optimization.
- Architect multi-cloud data platforms across Azure, AWS, and GCP with separation of compute for ingestion, transformation, ML training, and real-time inference.
- Establish feature stores, ML datasets, and feedback loops to enable continuous model improvement and business experimentation (A/B testing, personalization, ad yield optimization).
- Build a Telco & Media Data Competency Center with reusable ingestion frameworks, industry-specific data models, accelerators, and reference architectures.
- Develop POCs, pilots, and production-grade accelerators that demonstrate measurable business impact in revenue, retention, and customer experience.
- Implement enterprise-grade data governance, security, lineage, and compliance, including PII protection, regulatory adherence, and data sharing controls for partners.
- Enable data monetization and ecosystem integration with OTT platforms, ad networks, content providers, and device partners.
- Provide architectural leadership and mentoring to data engineers, analytics teams, and ML engineers across the organization.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in modern data architecture including lakehouse, streaming-first, and AI-ready data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud-native data stacks for enterprise-scale workloads.
- Deep understanding of real-time and batch data pipelines, including event-driven architectures and streaming analytics.
- Proven ability to design ML-ready data layers, including feature stores, training datasets, and inference pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling for Telco and Media (event-based, customer 360, content, advertising, and network data).
- Experience implementing data governance, security, privacy, and compliance frameworks in regulated environments.
- Ability to translate business objectives into scalable data and AI architectures.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to drive cross-functional platform adoption.
Preferred Skills
- Experience delivering Telco, OTT, Media, or AdTech data platforms at enterprise scale.
- Expertise in Kafka, streaming platforms, and real-time analytics.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML pipelines, model lifecycle management, and experimentation platforms.
