Job Description
- Prepare and Record Journal Entries: Compile and analyze asset, liability, revenue, and expense transactions, ensuring accurate posting in the general ledger.
- Account Reconciliation: Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions while resolving discrepancies to maintain balanced accounts.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Transfer subsidiary accounts, prepare trial balances, and reconcile general ledger entries to ensure accurate financial data.
- Financial Reporting: Summarize financial status by collecting data and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
- Internal Audit Support: Assist in internal audits by analyzing accounts, providing necessary documentation, and coordinating with external auditors.
- Compliance and Legal Reporting: Ensure adherence to legal requirements, including preparing and filing financial reports.
- Month-End and Year-End Close: Support the month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Process Improvement: Analyze current accounting procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Cross-Departmental Support: Provide accounting-related support to other departments and respond to financial inquiries.
- Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in accounting role.
- Proficiency in Excel. and in accounting software (Yardi, Quickbook, MRI) highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working pacific timings/PST Time zones
- Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience is required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (verbal and written).
