Job Description
Key Responsibilities
ERP Development and Management
- Design, develop, and maintain the universitys ERP system to meet academic, administrative, and operational needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance by adopting best practices and emerging technologies.
- Technical Leadership
- Lead the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ERP functionality and performance.
- Conduct regular updates, security patches, and performance optimization of the ERP system.
- Student Engagement and Industry Exposure
- Actively involve students in real-time projects related to ERP development and customization.
- Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions to equip students with industry-relevant technical skills.
- Mentor students on the latest trends and best practices in ERP and software development.
- Data Management and Integration
- Oversee database architecture, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and security.
- Integrate ERP with other university systems like LMS, CRM, and analytics platforms.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Research and implement emerging technologies such as AI, ML, and cloud computing in ERP functionalities.
- Develop tools and dashboards for better decision-making and operational insights.
- Regularly audit and improve ERP modules to meet evolving institutional requirements.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with academic departments, administrative teams, and IT staff to align ERP functionalities with their needs.
- Education:
Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (mandatory). - Masters degree or certifications in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) preferred.
- Hands-on experience in designing and managing ERP systems, preferably in the education sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, .NET) and database systems (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL).
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps).
- Knowledge of data security protocols and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to mentor students and coordinate teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on time.
