Job Description
Job Location: Bangalore/Chennai
Responsibilities:
- Hands on experience in CAESAR II / SST Caepipe / Bentely Autopipe / Lisega LICAD
- Knowledge of material and piping codes / standards n as per ASME Codes & Standards (ASME 31.3 & 31.1, NEMA SM 23) in STEEL piping system
- Design experience in piping, pipe support and pipe layout
- Experience in visual clearances of Non-critical Piping systems, Span calculations, Expansion loop calculations, Trunnion qualification calculations.
- Experience in preparing loading data for other engineering information such as civil and mechanical.
- Prepare Stress critical P&ID, Critical Line List, piping stress isometrics, piping stress layouts.
- Preparation & Checking of Analysis reports as per client requirements.
- Stress analysis for entire piping network, to qualify the stress in pipes & fitting by recommending reinforcement & additional supports are required and marking the same in the corresponding isometric drawing.
- Experience in visual clearances of Non-critical Piping systems, Span calculations, Expansion loop calculations, Trunnion qualification calculations.
- Experience in preparing loading data for other engineering information such as civil and mechanical.
- Review of Piping ISO, Feasibility check of Layouts, Pipe routing and Line No. as per P & IDs.
- Adequate experience in Piping layout, Design/selection of Supports, Hanger selection etc.
- Support selection & developing special piping support arrangements based on feasibility and judging requirements.
- Preparing Stress critical line list.
- Carrying out the Preliminary Piping stress analysis and providing support locations and loads to
- structural department.
- Carrying out the Piping stress analysis for the critical piping with CAESAR II software.
- Checking compensation leg required and supporting requirement for the non-critical lines with manual calculations using in house excel sheets and span charts.
- Preparing specifications for spring hangers, expansion joints as per stress analysis.
- Selecting primary and secondary supports based on the client approval vendor catalogues.
- Preparing stress analysis report for client submission.
- Preparing piping loads to civil design.
- Coordinate with Process, Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation groups to ensure design suits all these depts.
- Collaborate with Piping and Support Engineers for optimal design.
- Do vendor drawing reviews and provide comments if any
- Have a cooperative working attitude.

- CAESAR II
- SST Caepipe
- Bentely Autopipe
- Lisega LICAD.
