Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and innovative Learning & Development Specialist with hands-on experience in the IT industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing training needs, designing learning programs, driving capability-building initiatives, and supporting the continuous development of technical and nontechnical employees.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Training Needs Assessment

  • Conduct Training Needs Identification (TNI) and Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for IT teams.
  • Collaborate with managers, HRBPs, and technical leads to identify skill gaps in technical, functional, and behavioral areas.
  • Use data and performance metrics to prioritize learning interventions.

2. Program Design & Content Development

  • Design and develop training modules, learning paths, and competency-based programs for IT roles.
  • Develop content for both classroom and virtual training formats.
  • Customize training content for engineers, developers, testers, support teams, and project managers.

3. Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Conduct in-house training sessions, workshops, and refresher programs.
  • Coordinate with external trainers or vendors when specialized IT training is required.

4. Learning Management & Operations

  • Manage endtoend training logistics, including scheduling, communication, attendance, and feedback collection.
  • Maintain all training records in the LMS/HRMS.
  • Drive mandatory compliance training completion for IT teams.

5. Capability Development

  • Support continuous learning initiatives such as:
    • Upskilling and reskilling programs
    • Certification support (AWS, Azure, ITIL, Scrum, etc.)
    • Leadership development programs for emerging leaders
    • Soft skills and behavioral training

6. Evaluation & Reporting

  • Evaluate effectiveness of training using Kirkpatricks Model or similar frameworks.
  • Continuously monitor learning outcomes and recommend improvements.
  • Publish monthly and quarterly T&D dashboards on completion rates, feedback scores, and training ROI.

7. Employee Engagement & Culture Building

  • Partner with HR and business leaders to create a learning culture within IT teams.
  • Drive engagement initiatives such as knowledge-sharing sessions, coding challenges, hackathons, and brownbag sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in HR, Psychology, Education, or related field (MBA in HR preferred).
  • Minimum 3+ years of Training & Development experience, with at least 2 years in the IT industry.
  • Strong knowledge of IT roles, technologies, and industry-specific training needs.
  • Experience designing and delivering both technical and soft skills programs.
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms, e-learning tools, and digital learning methods.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and experience with training metrics.
