Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Build scalable, secure microservices using Java, Spring Boot and responsive web UIs using Angular/TypeScript.
- API Engineering: Design and implement RESTful APIs (GraphQL is a plus), including authentication/authorization (OAuth2/JWT), rate limiting, and API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Database & Messaging: Model and optimize data in RDBMS (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis); integrate Kafka/RabbitMQ for event-driven flows.
- Frontend Engineering: Develop modular, testable components with Angular, and responsive CSS (Sass/Tailwind/Styled Components).
- Quality & Testing: Ensure high code quality with unit/integration/E2E tests (JUnit/Mockito/Testcontainers, Jest/React Testing Library/Cypress/Playwright), code reviews, and static analysis.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Own build and deployment pipelines (Maven/Gradle, GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/Jenkins), containerize services (Docker) and deploy to Kubernetes in AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Performance & Reliability: Profile and tune latency, memory, and throughput; implement caching, circuit breakers, retries; add observability (logs, metrics, tracing via ELK/EFK, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- Security & Compliance: Apply secure coding practices (OWASP), secrets management, input validation, and encryption at rest/in transit.
- Collaboration: Break down epics into deliverables, estimate, and ship iteratively; mentor juniors; contribute to architecture decisions and documentation.
- Ownership: Drive features from discovery and design to production rollout, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications (Must-Have)
- 510 years of professional experience building production web applications.
- Strong backend skills in Java 8+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, and SQL.
- Solid frontend experience with Angular, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, Docker, and at least one cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Hands-on with databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and one NoSQL store (MongoDB/Redis).
- Testing mindset with tools like JUnit/Mockito and Jest/RTL; familiarity with E2E tools (Cypress/Playwright) is a plus.
- Understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
- Knowledge of web security (OAuth2, JWT, CSRF, CORS, OWASP Top 10).
- Proficiency in performance optimization, profiling, and monitoring.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating cross-functionally
