Role Overview
GVPR is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to oversee and implement quality assurance and quality control systems in Irrigation Projects/oil & gas/large diameter pipe Project in Eswatini. The role is critical in ensuring that all construction activities comply with approved standards, specifications, contract requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Irrigation Projects/oil & gas/large diameter pipe Project, excellent knowledge of QA/QC systems, and proven leadership in managing quality across large-scale civil projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS) in line with contract and company requirements.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and ITPs.
- Review and approve quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and surveillance to ensure quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with consultants, client representatives, and project teams on quality-related matters.
- Monitor and control material approvals, material inspections, and test results.
- Identify non-conformances (NCRs) and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain QA/QC documentation, quality records, and final as-built dossiers.
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover of infrastructure and water facilities.
- Train and guide site engineers, supervisors, and inspectors on quality requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and provide quality status reports to management.
Project Scope
- Must have experience in Irrigation Projects/oil& gas/large diameter pipe Project.
- Must have experience in minimum 1000mm Dia of MS Pipe/DI Pipe.
- Preferably Gravity/Irrigation Pipe line.
- Roads & Civil Infrastructure Works.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Tech in Mechanical & Civil Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in QA/QC roles for infrastructure and water projects.
- Must have Knowledge of SANS/ANSI Standards.
- Must have experience in SA/GCC/EU Countries.
- Must have experience large water conveyance system/Cross country pipeline
- Strong experience in Irrigation Projects/oil & gas/large diameter pipe Project.
- Sound knowledge of international standards, project specifications, and QA/QC procedures.
- Experience with EPC and large infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with FIDIC or similar contract frameworks.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC documentation, audits, and inspections.
