Job Description

Role Summary

The Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving sales of CAD, CAM, and CAE software solutions to Government, Aerospace, and Marine organizations, with a strong focus on ISRO units (VSSC, LPSC, IPRC) and Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL). The role requires a blend of technical expertise, consultative selling, and experience with government procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

Sales, Account Management & Business Development

  • Identify new opportunities, create demand, and manage the complete sales lifecycle
  • Develop and execute account plans for expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Drive license, AMC, and solution sales for CAD, CAM, PLM, CAE and Industry 4.O solutions to Government, DRDO, PSU, and DoS customers
  • Build strong relationships with scientists, engineers, project leads, Directors and procurement teams
  • Work closely with principals/OEMs (e.g., Siemens, Dassault, Ansys, etc.) on joint pursuits
  • Represent the organization in technical reviews, exhibitions, seminars, and customer workshops
  • Track competition and evolving requirements in aerospace and marine engineering software
  • Maintain CRM updates, pipeline health, and sales forecasts

Government & PSU Sales Process

  • Handle RFPs, RFQs, tenders, and GeM portal transactions
  • Ensure adherence to government procurement policies and timelines
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for pricing approvals and contractual closure

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of CAD, CAM, CAE, PLM and Industry 4.O concepts
  • Experience in selling tools such as NX, CATIA, Creo, Solid Edge, Ansys, Abaqus, Simcenter, Teamcenter, Enovia or similar
  • Ability to articulate end-to-end digital engineering solutions

Sales & Business Skills

  • 35 years of experience in engineering software sales
  • Proven exposure to ISRO units (VSSC, LPSC) and/or CSL or marine sector customers
  • Experience handling government tenders, long sales cycles, and procurement norms
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Education

  • BE / BTech in Mechanical, Aerospace, Marine, Naval Architecture, or related discipline
  • MBA (Sales/Marketing) preferred

Preferred Experience

  • Direct working relationships with VSSC, LPSC (ISRO) and Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL)
  • Experience selling enterprise engineering software or high-value technical solutions
  • Experience working with OEMs, system integrators, or authorized software partners
