Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Connect, transform, and integrate data from various sources including SQL Server, Azure, Excel, and APIs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage user access within Power BI Service.
- Optimize and tune Power BI datasets, dataflows, and queries for performance and scalability.
- Lead data modeling and ETL processes using Power Query, DAX, and SQL.
- Establish best practices for data visualization, report design, and governance.
- Manage Power BI workspace administration, gateway configuration, and deployment pipelines.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall BI strategy and roadmap.
- Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure data quality and consistency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 69 years of total experience, with at least 4+ years in Power BI development.
- Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling (star/snowflake schemas).
- Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, query optimization, stored procedures).
- Experience working with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake) is preferred.
- Excellent understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL pipelines.
- Strong visualization and storytelling skills with attention to detail and usability.
- Hands-on experience in Power BI Service administration and Power BI Gateway configuration.
- Exposure to tools like Tableau, SSRS, or SSAS is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
