- Position SummaryThe SOX ITGC Specialist will be part of the Global IT Compliance Office, supporting group wide SOX IT General Controls (ITGC) testing and Quality Assurance activities. The role focuses on independent ITGC testing, AuditBoard documentation, quality reviews, compliance reporting, and coordination with internal and external auditors to ensure adherence to SOX and PCAOB standards throughout the annual SOX cycle (Round 1, Round 2, and Roll Forward).
Key ResponsibilitiesITGC Audit Execution - Perform ITGC design and operating effectiveness testing impacting financial reporting.
- Access Management: User provisioning/de-provisioning, access reviews, privileged access, and SoD
- Change Management: Application/system changes, patching, testing, and production releases
- IT Operations: Job scheduling, backups, recovery, incident management, and data center controls
- Program Development: SDLC controls
- Information Security: Cybersecurity, vulnerability management, and data protection
- Conduct walkthroughs, evidence inspection, inquiries, and re-performance.
- Document testing results, gaps, and work papers in AuditBoard in line with PCAOB standards.
Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitoring - Perform independent QA reviews of ITGC test work papers.
- Review ITGC scoping, RCMs, and BARA documentation across segments.
- Monitor timelines, compliance status, deficiencies, and remediation progress.
- Generate compliance reports and dashboards for management.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management - Assist in preparing audit and compliance reports.
- Present findings to senior management and external auditors.
- Coordinate with Internal Audit, SOX Compliance teams, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Support central IT Compliance team during internal and external audits.
Qualifications - BE / BTech / Any Masters Degree
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in IT Audit, ITGC, SOX Compliance, or Risk Advisory
- Big Four experience preferred
Certifications (Preferred): - CISA, CIA, CISM, CPA, CISSP
Technical Knowledge - SOX Sections 302 & 404
- PCAOB Auditing Standards (ICFR)
- ITGC frameworks: COBIT, NIST, ITIL
- ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), OS (Windows/UNIX/Linux), Databases (Oracle/MSSQL), Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Access management, application security, and privileged access principles
Skills & Competencies - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative
