Desktop Support Engineer - Hardware repair @ Cyfuture

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair laptop and desktop motherboards at chip level
• Identify faults in ICs, MOSFETs, capacitors, resistors, BIOS, power sections
• Perform SMD component replacement, soldering, and rework
• Repair issues related to no power, no display, short circuit, overheating
• BIOS flashing, updating, and recovery
• Handle RAM, HDD/SSD, SMPS, adapters, batteries, displays, keyboards
• Perform hardware upgrades and preventive maintenance
• Ensure timely resolution as per SLA/TAT
• Support IT team for on-site and remote hardware issues

Technical Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of Laptop & Desktop motherboard architecture
• Expertise in chip-level troubleshooting
• Experience with multimeter, soldering station, hot air gun
• Understanding of power circuits and signal flow
• Knowledge of Windows OS installation and basic software troubleshooting

Familiar with brands like HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS.
