Key Responsibilities

1. AKS Platform Ownership (Kubernetes Management)

• Design, provision, and manage AKS clusters: node pools, autoscaling,

upgrades, backup/restore, and lifecycle operations.

2. Build & Deploy Expert (CI/CD & GitOps)

• Own build and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps/GitHub

Actions; standardize Helm charts, artifacts, and implement GitOps with

Argo CD or Flux.

3. Azure Application Gateway (WAF) & Ingress

• Configure and manage Azure Application Gateway with WAF; integrate

AGIC with AKS for L7 routing, SSL/TLS termination, and certificate

lifecycle via Key Vault.

4. Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

• Develop and maintain Terraform modules for AKS, Application Gateway,

ACR, networking, and related Azure resources.

• Ensure reusable, version-controlled, and automated deployments.

5. Container Platform Standards

• Define and enforce standards for namespaces, resource quotas,

HPA/Cluster Autoscaler, pod disruption budgets, and secure base

images.

6. Release Strategies & Reliability

• Implement blue/green, canary deployments, and rollback strategies;

ensure high availability and resilience for production workloads.

7. Troubleshooting & L3 Support

• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for AKS workloads,

ingress/routing issues, build/deploy failures, and performance

bottlenecks.

8. Collaboration, Documentation & Mentorship

• Work closely with application teams for AKS onboarding; create runbooks,

architecture diagrams, and mentor engineers on Kubernetes and

Terraform best practices.
