Job Description/ Position Description
The SAP S/4HANA Project Systems (PS) and Investment Management (IM) Lead will be responsible for leading and managing all activities related to the PS and IM modules in a SAP S/4HANA support environment. The role involves overseeing system support, ensuring smooth functioning of project accounting, investment tracking, and capital project management processes. The lead will work closely with business users, finance teams, and other functional leads to ensure system stability, timely issue resolution, and continuous process improvement.
Job Role/ Your future duties and responsibilities
- Lead the support and enhancement of SAP S/4HANA PS and IM modules in a live production environment.
- Manage end-to-end configuration, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of PS and IM functionalities.
- Support processes related to project creation, work breakdown structure (WBS), networks, activities, settlement, and budgeting.
- Handle investment management processes including appropriation requests, capital budgeting, and asset under construction (AUC) settlements.
- Coordinate integration of PS/IM with FI/CO, MM, SD, and PP modules.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to resolve incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend process improvements.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities related to project accounting and investment management.
- Oversee testing, change management, and documentation for system enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit, and accounting standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and support team members.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to drive SAP system improvements and ensure alignment with business strategy.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Primary Skill: SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Project Systems or equivalent.
Secondary Skill:
- 8 + years of experience in SAP with at least 5 years in SAP Project Systems (PS) and Investment Management (IM).
- Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA (version 1709 or higher).
- Strong functional knowledge of:
- Project structures (WBS, Networks, Milestones)
- Cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Actual cost tracking and settlements
- Capital investment programs, appropriation requests, and AUC processes
- Proven experience leading support or implementation projects in SAP S/4HANA.
- Good understanding of PS/IM integration with FI/CO, MM, SD, and PM modules.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with ticketing systems, change management, and SAP documentation standards.
