Job Description
Job Title: Project Engineer (Greenfield Factory Project)
Location: Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh
Job Overview:
The Project Engineer will be responsible for executing and coordinating all activities related to setting up a new factory (greenfield project). This includes civil construction, utilities, machinery installation, commissioning, and smooth handover to operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution
- Execute greenfield factory project activities as per approved plans and timelines.
- Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and utility works.
- Monitor daily site activities and ensure progress as per schedule.
Factory Infrastructure & Utilities
- Support construction of factory buildings, sheds, roads, and drainage.
- Coordinate installation of utilities such as power, compressed air, water, HVAC, firefighting, and ETP/STP.
- Ensure layouts meet production, safety, and statutory requirements.
Machinery & Equipment Installation
- Coordinate installation, alignment, and erection of production machines.
- Support testing, commissioning, and trial runs of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with OEM guidelines and safety norms.
Contractor & Vendor Coordination
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Verify work completion, measurements, and bills.
- Provide technical support during procurement and installation activities.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and approved drawings.
- Implement safety practices and ensure statutory compliance.
- Participate in safety audits, inspections, and toolbox talks.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Maintain project documentation, drawings, and records.
- Support preparation of as-built drawings and handover documents.
Project Handover
- Assist in smooth handover of factory facilities to production and maintenance teams.
- Support training of operations staff during commissioning phase.
Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Industrial or related discipline).
Experience:
- 7 to 12 years of experience in factory projects, plant setup, or industrial construction.
- Experience in greenfield manufacturing projects preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of factory setup and industrial utilities.
- Understanding of machinery installation and commissioning.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work at site and manage multiple activities.
- Basic knowledge of safety and statutory compliance.
Working Conditions
- Site-based role at Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh.
- Extended working hours during critical project phases.
Language Proficiency:
- Telugu Mandatory
