Job Description
About the Role:
We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer with strong Tableau and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience to design, develop, and optimize our analytics ecosystem.
This role blends data engineering, visual analytics, and business insight generation--turning complex datasets into clear, actionable intelligence that supports strategic and operational decision-making. Youll work at the intersection of data
pipelines, dashboards, and business storytelling, ensuring that leaders have timely, accurate, and meaningful insights.
The ideal candidate will not only be a Tableau expert but also understand end-to- end data flows from data ingestion and transformation (ETL/ELT) to data modeling, orchestration, and visualization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and
visualizations that communicate data-driven insights clearly and effectively.
- Partner with data engineers and analysts to build clean, scalable data
models in BigQuery and data lakes that power dashboards and reports.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and ETL logic to prepare data for
visualization and business use.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs,
and translate them into impactful BI solutions.
- Develop automated data pipelines (in collaboration with data engineers)
using GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Compose
- Implement data quality checks, governance rules, and access control to
ensure trust and compliance in reporting.
- Build and maintain semantic layers and data marts optimized for BI and self-
service analytics.
- Automate reporting workflows, data refresh schedules, and metadata
documentation for consistent delivery.
- Promote best practices in data visualization, user experience, and
dashboard performance optimization.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 36 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or DataEngineering roles.
- Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and Tableau
Server/Cloud (dashboard design, publishing, data sources, performance
tuning).
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python or R for analytics automation.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow,
Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer).
- Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and
star/snowflake schema design.
- Experience building BI solutions on cloud-based data warehouses such as
BigQuery
- Strong analytical, storytelling, and communication skills able to present
technical insights in a business-friendly way.
- Exposure to machine learning integration or predictive analytics in
dashboards.
- Tableau or Google Cloud certification (e.g., Tableau Certified Data Analyst,
Professional Data Engineer).
