Job Description
Role & responsibilities
To oversee shop floor operations, ensuring that production lines run efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with quality standards. This role acts as a bridge between management strategy and floor-level execution, providing technical guidance, leadership, and accountability for the machine operating team.
Key Responsibilities :
Supervise Floor Operations: Oversee the daily activities of machine operators to ensure machinery and workspaces are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene (5S), safety, and functionality.
Maintenance Strategy:
Schedule preventive maintenance and resolve complex mechanical or electrical breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
Technical Accountability:
Act as the primary technical point of contact for the assigned equipment, ensuring asset integrity and approving post-maintenance machine releases.
Production Planning & KPI Achievement:
Plan and allocate manpower and resources to ensure the team executes daily production schedules, meeting targeted output and yield limits.
Yield Improvement:
Take ownership of material usage and yield targets, investigating significant variances and driving initiatives to minimize waste.
Documentation Review:
Review, verify, and approve online documentation and production logs filled by operators to ensure data integrity and audit readiness.
Incident Management:
Lead investigations into process abnormalities or quality incidents; document root causes and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization :
Proactively analyze production workflows and machine data to propose high-level process simplifications that enhance performance.
Preferred candidate profile
Candidates with experience USFDA/MHRA plants will be preferred.
