Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Responsible for managing and ensuring the uptime for server, storage, virtualized environment (Hyper-V & Hyperconverged infrastructure) and backup solution as per business requirements.
- Administering Windows Servers, AD Infrastructure, DNS/DHCP setup and Group Policy Management, and ensure all business-critical servers are patched regularly.
- Good knowledge on Office 365, and other cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP etc.
- Follow ITIL operation process like Service Request (SR), Incident response (IR), Change Request (CR) and monitor /maintain the ticket, SLA.
- Basic knowledge on Linux (Red Hat & Ubuntu).
- Research on latest IT innovations and try to implement new technology and improve the existing operations.
- Excellent understanding of computer hardware, operating system functions, and components. Must be familiar with multiple makes/models of desktops and laptops and be able to troubleshoot and escalate as appropriate.
- System Administration (User Roles & Privilege creation, Access provisioning etc).
- Involvement in Planning, developing, and implementing the IT budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers, where appropriate, to ensure cost effectiveness.
- Maintaining vendor relationships and coordinating in purchase of hardware and software products.
- Ensuring that software licensing regulations are followed to meet compliance.
- Communicates effectively with internal customers to identify needs and provides solutions within SLA.
- Initiates and implements improvements in all areas under his responsibility.
- Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.
- Communication should be good enough to interact with internal customer to fulfil their requirements in an effective manner.
- Managing the on-premises infrastructure in accordance with company security guidelines.
- Having experience in managing support desk team.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Mac OS X and Windows troubleshooting and configuration skills.
- Create, document, and update processes to resolve issues efficiently and effectively
- Knowledge on ITSM
