Your day at NTT DATA
As a Cloud Managed Services Engineer (L1) at NTT DATA, you'll be at the heart of maintaining and optimizing our clients' cloud environments. Your day will start with monitoring client infrastructure and solutions, identifying problems before they escalate, and ensuring seamless service delivery to meet our clients' needs.You'll proactively investigate and resolve cloud-based incidents and service requests, always aiming for zero missed service level agreements (SLAs). Your role involves handling first-line support for standard and low-complexity incidents, ensuring smooth operation and optimization of clients' cloud infrastructure.In addition to incident management, you'll provide support via phone or chat, execute maintenance activities like patching and configuration changes, and follow handover procedures to ensure consistent service quality. You're also encouraged to discover opportunities for work optimization, including automation and process improvements.Your role doesn't stop there. You'll contribute to project work as needed and may be involved in implementing and delivering disaster recovery functions and tests. By updating and creating knowledge articles, you'll help build a robust knowledge base that aids in efficient incident resolution and service request fulfillment.
To thrive in this role, you need to have: - Entry-level experience managing platforms like Windows and Linux server administration, virtualization, and server hardware and storage.
- Basic knowledge of network, DATA center, telephony, exchange, storage, cloud, and backup products.
- Strong planning skills to manage activities and projects while adapting to changing circumstances.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across different cultures and social groups.
- Commitment to client satisfaction, ensuring a positive client experience throughout their journey.
- Active listening skills to fully understand client requests and issues.
- Flexibility, understanding that some situations may require longer hours or adapting to new circumstances.
- A positive outlook and resilience when working in a pressurized environment.
- A bachelors degree in information technology/computing or equivalent work experience.
