Job Description
- Support DBE team with AWS Cloud Project
- Support other teams in the company that need database support
- Support Junior, Mid, and Senior level DBAs and help tutor them
- Assist with ad hoc and custom reporting using SQL for customers including management and collaboration with other teams
- Assist with Cloud roll out and AWS deployment of SQL infrastructure in both RDS and EC2 instances and manage customer environments in the cloud
- Maintain and implement MS SQL Server Replication between customer OLTP and ODS environments
- Maintain and develop monitoring tools utilizing our custom monitoring solutions and Sentry One
- Develop processes around and maintain database security
- Develop custom Stored Procedures and SQL Agent Jobs
- Automate repeated DBA tasks using SQL Agent Jobs and PowerShell
- Properly install and configure MS SQL Server installations
- Respond to customer requests via Jira tickets, and on occasion work directly with customers on solutions to issues and custom processes
- 10+ years Database Administration Experience
- Management Experience
- Strong TSQL Skills a Must
- Strong Database Administration skills a must
- Expert level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Good communication skills required as this is a customer facing position
- Strong technical background, ability to troubleshoot server and SQL issues
- Knowledge of Windows Server, command line, and PowerShell
- Knowledge of SSIS and installing and executing SSIS packages
- Experience in AWS services (AWS EC2, RDS, Data Migration Services etc)
- Experience with SQL Server Always-On Availability Groups
- Experience with SQL Server migrations using DBATools
