Job Description
We are hiring STP Operators for our wastewater treatment facility at Taramani, Chennai. The candidate should have basic to hands-on knowledge of Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) operations and a keen interest in the water and wastewater industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor STP systems as per standard operating procedures.
- Monitor and record daily operational parameters such as pH, MLSS, DO, flow rate, sludge level, etc.
- Ensure proper functioning of pumps, blowers, diffusers, and other STP equipment.
- Carry out routine maintenance activities and support breakdown maintenance.
- Perform chemical dosing and assist in laboratory testing as required.
- Maintain daily log sheets, shift reports, and records.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory guidelines.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and follow 5S and safety practices at the site.
- Coordinate with the Site In-Charge for smooth and uninterrupted plant operations.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Basic knowledge or experience in STP operations.
- Understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
- Good discipline, teamwork, and learning attitude.
