STP Operator
Experience: 0 to 2 Years
Location: Yerwada / Vishrantwadi / Kharadi (Pune)
Qualification: ITI / Diploma / Graduate
Industry: Water & Wastewater Treatment
Facilities: PF / ESIC / Bonus / Leaves
Role Overview
We are looking for an STP Operator who is interested in building a career in the water and wastewater treatment industry. The candidate will support daily plant operations, monitoring, and maintenance activities to ensure smooth functioning of the Sewage Treatment Plant.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Operation & Monitoring
- Assist in the daily operation of the STP, including start-up and shutdown procedures.
- Monitor inlet/outlet water parameters (pH, TSS, COD, DO, etc.).
- Check and record STP readings at regular intervals.
- Ensure treated water meets required quality standards.
2. Equipment Handling
- Operate blowers, pumps, mixers, dosing systems, and other plant machinery.
- Assist in troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
- Support preventive maintenance activities under supervision.
3. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain logbooks for daily operations.
- Report any abnormalities or equipment issues to the Supervisor.
- Assist in preparing daily/weekly reports.
4. Safety Compliance
- Follow all safety norms during plant operations.
- Use PPE (gloves, goggles, mask, safety shoes) at all times.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents.
5. Chemical Handling (If required)
- Assist in handling chemicals like chlorine, alum, polyelectrolyte, etc.
- Ensure safe dosage as instructed by the Chemist/Supervisor.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of STP processes (preferred).
- Ability to operate mechanical equipment.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Physically fit and safety conscious.
Suitable For
- Freshers with ITI/Diploma (Mechanical / Electrical / Environmental).
- Candidates with up to 1 year experience in STP/ETP operations.
- Candidates interested in developing a long-term career in water/wastewater operations.
