As a Software Development Senior Manager at OCI, youll work alongside driven, innovative professionals in a dynamic environment built for belonging and success. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, building, and deploying distributed, cloud-scale solutions, combined with strong leadership and the desire to continuously learn and collaborate.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 10-12 years in the industry, including 5+ years in a management role
- Proven expertise in developing and running large-scale, highly available, cloud-based distributed systems
- Strong background in OS fundamentals, data models, and distributed storage technologies
- Deep understanding of modern security principles and best practices
- Proficiency in the full software development lifecycle, as well as troubleshooting and performance optimization
- Experience with public cloud services and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform is a plus)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Computer Science
- Experience in Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development
- Startup or Agile/SCRUM environment experience
- Hands-on experience with containerization, virtualization, and fleet orchestration
- Familiarity with networking protocols and building secure solutions
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse software engineering team delivering large-scale cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Drive the design, development, and operation of distributed systems in a multi-tenant cloud environment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable cloud services for enterprise customers.
- Foster an inclusive culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence within the team.
- Ensure adoption of software engineering best practices, high availability, and operational efficiency.
- Identify and solve complex technical challenges with creativity and a focus on customer outcomes.
- Champion learning, growth, and career development for team members.
