Job Summary
The Senior ODI Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure platforms (PaaS/IaaS). This role is responsible for architecting end-to-end data integration solutions, collaborating across business and technical teams, and ensuring data quality and compliance standards are met. The ideal candidate will bring advanced technical skills as well as hands-on experience with cloud-based solutions, preferably in the banking or insurance domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement ETL solutions using ODI on OCI PaaS/IaaS platforms.
- Configure, manage, and scale ODI instances on OCI for optimal performance.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL scripts to support data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Integrate data from diverse sourcesincluding cloud databases, on-premise systems, APIs, and flat filesinto unified architecture.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in ODI job executions to ensure seamless data flows.
- Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to translate integration requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Conduct performance tuning of ETL processes and database operations.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed solutions.
- Adhere to data privacy, security, and compliance protocols in cloud environments.
- Share expertise and best practices to mentor junior team members and support project success.
Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory:
- Proven hands-on experience in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) development and administration.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for advanced data manipulation and query optimization.
- Experience deploying and managing ODI solutions on OCI PaaS/IaaS.
- In-depth understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and cloud data integration.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of ODI development experience, including at least 2 years with OCI-based projects.
Good-to-Have:
- Direct experience in banking or insurance domain projects, with knowledge of relevant data structures.
- Familiarity with OCI services (e.g., Autonomous Database, Object Storage, Compute, Networking).
- Experience integrating on-premise and cloud-based data sources.
- Proficiency with Agile methodologies and cloud-based DevOps practices.
Other:
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
