Qa Engineer (Automation) @ Petpooja

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.
• Develop automated test scripts for web and mobile APIs, UI, and backend systems.
• Identify test cases for automation and work on converting them from manual to automated.
• Perform exploratory and manual testing for new and complex product features.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and track test coverage metrics.
• Log defects clearly and track them to closure using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Provide feedback on application usability, performance, and overall product quality.

Additional Qualification & Skills:

• Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or Postman (for API testing).
• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
• Hands on - version control tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab Actions).
• Understanding of testing RESTful APIs and database validation using SQL.
• Hands on - working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Hands on - testing mobile applications (Android/iOS).
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and Docker containers.
• Experience in automating business workflows or integration testing across systems.
