Job Description
This role is for the position of Database Solution Architect with 12+ years of experience. Applicant must have deep knowledge with hands on experience of Oracle and Industry leading Database and Data Management Solutions, Exadata Platform, OCI and Cloud. Role requires working with Large and enterprise customers in India West (Mumbai) and leading with Oracle Cloud Technology solutions. You will work with customers on their Data, Technology and Cloud initiatives to determine how Oracle Database, Data Platform, OCI and related Technologies can best solve their business priorities add value to their mission critical systems. You should be a self-starter with positive attitude focused on making our customers successful in their technology initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong technical and hands-on skills in the area(s) of database and Data Management, OCI and Exa platform, AI, Vector DB and 23ai
- Develop and deliver outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations with the goal of generating customer interest and demand.
- Become a trusted adviser by sharing thought leadership and practices on Modern and converged Database capabilities, MultiCloud, AI, database management, database upgrades, and optimization to external clients.
- Ability to influence with Cloud first strategy - Economics, operations, and Security.
- Focus on large or complex sales opportunities requiring creative and complex solutions.
- Keep current and updated on latest Oracle Cloud and software releases and future directions, as well as competitive intelligence.
- Demonstrate understanding of technical aspects of the sales process and can lead customer engagements through the Cloud and technical sales process.
- Ensure that key decisions and strategies are understood by stakeholders.
- Actively participate in organizational skill exchanges and transfers expertise to others
- Demonstrate outstanding Corporate Citizenship by working with Oracle University, Product Management, and other organizations within Oracle
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable; Oracle certifications is preferred
- Minimum 12 years technical experience
- Customer facing roles with presales / Solution Architect experience is preferred.
- Oracle Experience: Minimum 8 years with Oracle Database and related technology, AI, Vector DB and 23ai, security, availability, manageability, upgrades, performance and scalability
- Expertise in area(s) of focus with ability to demonstrate the most advanced product features eg. AI, Vector DB and 23ai, RAC, MAA, Data Guard, Security, Enterprise Manager, Oracle Stream, PL/SQL and DB integration solution.
- Possess best of breed technical or functional sales knowledge that could be applied across an entire sales area in general or specific technical/functional categories.
- Thorough knowledge of Cloud, system and application design
- Strong understanding of other Industry Databases and competitive landscape
- Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills. Needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Must be able to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication.
- This is field presales role, needing work from Oracle Office or customer premise / sites for deep collaborative working with Customers, Sales and larger ecosystems.
