Job Description

Position: Assistant General Manager HSE (ESG)
Reports To: Head of Department, Corporate HSE

Purpose: To lead and manage the organizations Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, ensuring compliance, sustainability, and continuous improvement across corporate and project operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Strategy

• Develop and implement corporate HSE and sustainability strategy aligned with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, GRI, and BRSR frameworks.
• Drive ESG integration into business operations and decision-making.
  

2. Systems Management

• Establish and enhance HSE Management Systems and sustainability programs compliant with global standards.
• Lead initiatives on carbon reduction, resource efficiency, and waste management.
  

3. Compliance & Governance

• Ensure adherence to all national safety, environmental, and sustainability regulations.
• Oversee internal/external audits, ESG assessments, and board-level reporting readiness.
  

4. Operations

• Support project teams with HSE risk assessments, planning, and monitoring through regular site visits.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
  

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Training

• Collaborate across departments to promote safety and sustainability culture.
• Conduct HSE and ESG awareness and training programs for employees and contractors.
  

6. Reporting & Communication

• Prepare HSE dashboards, ESG disclosures, and sustainability reports.
• Report performance metrics and progress to senior management and stakeholders.
