Principal Duties
And Responsibilities:
Working closely with our clients, Consulting professionals design, build and implement strategies that can help enhance business performance. They develop specialized expertisestrategic, industry, functional, technicalin a diverse project environment that offers multiple opportunities for career growth.

Here are just a few of responsibilities.
- Lead strategic FinOps discussions with clients, identifying cost-saving opportunities and aligning cloud financial management with business objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, and Cloud Center of Excellence teams.
- Analyze cloud and on-premise spend data to identify cost optimization opportunities across compute, storage, network, and licensing.
- Design and deliver cost governance models, optimization roadmaps, and actionable recommendations using Accenture's IP and assets
- Support pre-sales and sales efforts by shaping FinOps propositions, building client pitches, and participating in proposal development.
- Identify and develop new FinOps opportunities within existing and new client accounts.
- Leverage strong cloud architecture knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, other CSPs) to recommend cost-efficient designs and architectures
- Knowledge of on-prem infrastructure cost modeling and software licensing optimization
Key Competencies and Skills:
The right candidate should have competency and skills aligned to one or more of these archetypes -
- Strategic FinOps Expertise: Strong understanding of FinOps principles and ability to align cloud spend with business value, including budgeting, forecasting, and chargeback/showback models.
- Cloud Cost Optimization: Proven ability to identify, analyze, and deliver cost-saving opportunities across AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI and other CSP environments.
- Cloud Architecture Knowledge: Solid grasp of cloud-native services, architecture patterns, and cost-efficient design principles.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Sales & Business Development: Ability to support pre-sales, shape consulting offerings, build client pitches, and contribute to proposal development.
- Tooling Familiarity: Hands-on experience with FinOps or cloud cost management tools (e.g., Apptio, CloudHealth, Cloudability, native cloud tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- MBA Degree from Tier-1 College (Preferable)
- 9-13 years of large-scale consulting experience and/or working with hi tech companies in Cloud, FinOps, IT spend management
- FOCP or equivalent certifications
- Cloud Certifications
Experience:
- We are seeking experienced professionals who have led end-to-end client engagements, including strategic FinOps assessments, business case development, stakeholder alignment, and implementation of tooling and processes to improve financial accountability in cloud operation
- Led cloud cost optimization initiatives across multi-cloud or hybrid environments, delivering measurable savings and improving cost governance frameworks for enterprise clients.
