Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Looking after construction of Secant pile (Hard and Soft pile), Capping beam, Flood protection wall for construction of shaft.
Selection of Shaft sizing and sequence (Bottom-UP) for TBM launch.
Preparing Method statement regarding rectangular shaft construction sequence.
Execution of Launching shaft (30M) excavation for both soft and hard ground.
Monitoring erection cycle of Strut -waler beam with its bracket for supporting shaft including packing concrete.
Installation and assembling of Tunnel Boring Machine on ground and then shifting it in tunnel.
Erection and laying of all rail lines, sleepers in tunnel to facilitate the moving of TBM.
Safe offloading of TBM parts.
Lowering and assembling of TBM's ( Eye seal, Thrust Frame & TBM Backup gantries)
Initial Drive and Main Drive Preparations.
Temporary rings installation & Removal supervision.
Cutter head intervention.
Site set up and arrangement and TBM Operation.
Monitoring TBM operation parameters,
Ring building alignment control including damage assessment, Key Segment selection with maintaining standard Tail skin clearances.
Daily coordination with surveyor on alignment control.
Advance Technical Reporting about the shift activities with Maintaining contemporary shift report including Tunnel construction & Ring build reports.
Monitoring of Primary & back grouting, excavation quantities
Identification of Delays & causes, Being aware with safety observations.
TBM Transition i.e. Pushing forward of TBM on traveling cradle with all back up gantries to Relaunch as it is for the next drive, and mining progress.
Manpower management, Maintaining records for TBM consumables, Productivity implementation.
Material consumption and selection for the project.
Planning of launching shaft sizing and arrangement with site setup.
Route survey for TBM transportation with contractors.
Preferred candidate profile :
Skills-
Selection of TBM, SEGMENT INSERT, GASKET, GROUT PLANT.
Planning for initial and main drive with schematic drawing.
Good communication skills, Leadership skills
Depth knowledge of TBM operation knowledge
Good experience in underground construction in hard rock and soft ground.
Qualification: Diploma/ Degree -Civil Engineering, Min- 10 to 20 years in Underground Metro / Tunnel experience is required.
Note- Experience in TBM is mandatory
