Job Description
Developed product is the leading software system in Energy domain covering all aspects of Oil&Gas production from geological exploration to optimization of ongoing production. Our technology solution helps geologists and geophysicists to research, visualize and interpret large volumes of geological data.Work supposes close cooperation with Customer team located in Kuwait and following Agile principles.
Responsible for the definition, management and support of the database environments associated with the Production project implementation under general supervision of development lead. Is able to implement and maintain project data model including managing the performance, integrity and security of databases. Capable of making effective and efficient decisions regarding database models and infrastructure. Skills are typically acquired through 7+ years of experience implementing and managing Java and SQL databases
- Develops and maintains backend services(Java).
- Develops and maintains project data model.
- Manages and supports databases including developing required queries and stored procedures
- Establishes the needs of users and monitors user access and security
- Assists team with the debugging and optimization of SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Ongoing database performance tuning and upgrades, including monitoring and evaluation of all database patches and service packs
- Business trip to Kuwait
Must have
Technology
- Understanding of relational databases and concepts
- Good working with SQL server/Postgres (7+ years)
- Good working with Java Program (7+ years)
- Proven experience with system analysis and database design
- Proven working experience in database optimization
- Proven working experience with Java programming language.
- Proven working experience with Microservices development
- Experience with database backup/recovery
- Good understanding of data security
General
- Proven hands-on Software Development experience
- Good communication with English
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good documentation skills
- Ready for a long term business trip to Kuwait
Nice to have
- Experience working in big data is desirable
- Data science knowledge is desirable
- Certification in related tool e.g. SQL, Java, Oracle is desirable
- Flexible to travel
- Chinese communication is preferred
- Experience working as oil and gas domain is preferred
