- Surveillance Enhancement Program (SEP) is a multi-year program (MYP) to build and enhance the surveillance platform to detect potential instances of market misconduct, market manipulation and market abuse.
The Bank met its commitment to FCA (Financial Conduct Authority, FCA) to meet Market Abuse Regulation ("MAR") requirements for critical data sources in September 2017. Following that, subsequent projects were initiated to further enhance, expand and complement the current coverage of the automated surveillance platform.
This project will focus on Alerts enhancements, Strategic data sourcing from FM order and trade lakes, UI / workflow enhancements to meet regulatory obligations (i.e. Market Abuse Regulation, Dodd Frank). This also includes Control Room & Suitability Monitoring related data, UI and scenario enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Pro-actively engage, manage and build strong relationships with both business and technology stakeholders.
- Taking ownership of technology deliveries from high level requirement through development, testing and deployment.
- Provide on-going support to the technology teams as required e.g. authoring / reviewing test cases, closing out open issues / questions, managing change request process, maintaining high quality UAT plans, Issue Trackers promoting visibility within the team and to wider program stakeholders.
- Identify risks and issues early, plan mitigating steps and communicate these to stakeholders in a timely manner
- Understand business requirements for front office platform design and translate into quality technology solutions.
Skills
- Must have
- 1-4 years' experience with business analysis, solution design and end-to-end delivery in the Financial Markets industry
- Strong knowledge of derivatives across asset classes
- Rates/Commodities/FX encompassing product knowledge, pricing, risk analytics and trade life cycle
- Strong knowledge in SQL
- Some technical background in analyzing or reviewing code changes would be preferable
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge and experience of Agile development practices
- Ability to work proactively, independently and displays strong initiative.
- Meticulous and upkeep documentation of project artifacts, discussions, risks, functional specifications
- Strong communication and presentation skills with an excellent standard of English are a must.
- Nice to have
- Certifications such as Scrum Master, Product Owner or PMP a plus.
- Knowledge and previous experience of large-scale financial markets technology platforms a plus.
