Job Description
Role & responsibilities:
- Review and Analyze: Thoroughly review and analyze coded medical records for accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
- Identify Errors: Identify coding errors, discrepancies, and potential quality of care issues.
- Provide Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to coders to improve coding accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain Standards: Ensure coding practices adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
- Training and Mentoring: May be involved in training and mentoring other coding staff.
- Documentation: Review and verify documentation supports diagnoses, procedures, and treatment results.
- Data Analysis: Research and analyze data needs for reimbursement.
- Productivity: Maintain daily production and quality as per client requirements
- Communication: Good communication and teamwork skills are essential.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Minimum 4 - 9 Years experience in Surgery Coding
- Exposure to ICD - 4, ICD - 9, ICD - 10.
- Certification is mandatory (CPC / CRC / CCS)
- Candidate must have Knowledge in 1 - 6 Series in surgery coding
- Good knowledge of medical coding system and regulatory requirements.
