Senior Coder - E/M with Radiology @ Calpion Software

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records, physician documentation, and diagnostic reports for E/M and Radiology services.
• Assign accurate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes based on documentation and coding guidelines.
• Validate medical necessity and ensure compliance with payer-specific rules.
• Work closely with physicians and clinical staff to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations, CMS guidelines, and industry changes.
• Assist in audits and quality assurance to ensure coding accuracy and reduce denials.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards set by the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Certification: CPC, COC, or CCS-P (AAPC or AHIMA).
• Strong knowledge of E/M coding guidelines, Radiology CPT codes, and ICD-10-CM.
• Familiarity with Medicare and commercial payer rules.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
