Job Description
Job Title: Power Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end quality processes for new Battery and Adapter (ADP) suppliers, ensuring successful onboarding and compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Research and Development (R&D), Global Commodity Management (GCM), New Product Introduction (NPI), Product Quality Engineering (PQE), and suppliers to ensure smooth new project launches with effective quality control during qualification and ramp-up phases.
- Oversee supplier process control and safety management; make informed shipment release decisions; and drive continuous improvement initiatives based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Manage and resolve quality issues related to Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) box-line production and field parts.
- Conduct regular (monthly, quarterly, and annual) as well as special (issue-based or process-specific) supplier audits; provide support for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
- Support production capacity and supply assurance from a quality perspective.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Battery and Adapter (ADP) industry.
- Bachelors degree or higher in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
- In-depth understanding of Battery and Adapter assembly processes, testing procedures, Failure Analysis (FA), quality control, and reliability testing.
- Strong skills in data analysis and problem-solving.
- Solid knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9000 and ISO 14000.
- Proven experience in supplier and process qualification as well as new project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; self-motivated and quick learner with proficiency in computer applications and presentation tools.
- Strong command of the English language both written and verbal.
