Job Description
Role & responsibilities:
- Exterior Trims - Bumpers, Grilles, Door Handles, Side Mirrors, Moldings, etc
- New Parts Development (NPD)
- CATIA V5 (3D/2D Drawings & Surfacing)
- Plastic Product Design
Key Requirement:
- 3 to 9 years of experience in Automotive Exterior Trim Design using CATIA V5.
- Strong knowledge of Interior/Exterior plastic design, injection molding, material selection & manufacturing constraints.
- Good understanding of vehicle architecture, systems & sub-systems for seamless product integration.
- Ability to take independent technical decisions based on engineering requirement
- Liaison with supplier teams for validation and release.
- Experience in benchmarking, packaging studies, and defining optimal design solutions.
- Familiar with automotive safety standards & regulatory requirements for exterior trims.
- Ability to work with styling teams to convert design concepts into manufacturable parts.
- Skilled in evaluating manufacturing, assembly & service feasibility.
- Strong problem-solving, project management & communication skills.
